How do you make a claim with SSB Law?
Please complete the online form above to submit your claim, and one of our solicitors will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your claim in more detail.
We normally work on a No Win No Fee basis, meaning that you won’t need to pay anything upfront and will only be required to pay your legal fees if the claim has been successful.
SSB Law will only advise you to start a compensation claim if you have a reasonable chance of securing compensation. If for any reason you claim is unsuccessful, SSB Law will not charge you for its work on your case.
What is a No Win No Fee arrangement?
A no win no fee arrangement allows you to file a compensation claim with no financial risk and no upfront legal fees.
You will only be charged if your no win no fee claim is successful. If your case is not successful, you will not be responsible for any legal fees.
We normally take out an After The Event (ATE) insurance policy on your behalf when we make a no win no fee claim. If your claim is unsuccessful, this insurance policy covers you completely. It also means you can file a claim for compensation without having to pay anything up front.
How long does it take to get a compensation offer?
Depending on the situation, negotiations can take a week, several months, or years. Usually, negotiations end when both parties agree to the offer.
It is likely that defendants will want to avoid the expences of going to court, and once their insurance companies are aware of the liability position, a settlement offer may be made.
If the defendant refuses to accept liability or does not offer an acceptable settlement, your solicitor may advise to take judicial action. Taking a case to court may take more time, but it can make the difference between winning and losing.
After accepting a settlement offer, you should receive your compensation funds within 14 to 28 days of the settlement date. This timeline is merely a guide, as the length of time it takes to receive your compensation can vary depending on a variety of circumstances.
Some insurance companies will pay as soon as they obtain confirmation of a settlement. As a result, you may get compensation in as little as 5 working days.
