Employment Tribunal Fees

The debate about claimants paying Employment Tribunal fees rumbles on as UNISON, who are challenging the legality of the fees, were given permission by The Supreme Court to appeal the most recent decision by The Court of Appeal to reject their judicial review of fees.

Connected to this, the Ministry of Justice have released the figures showing how many claims have been made to the Employment Tribunal during 2015. The number of claims per month was around 1,400 – 1,500 per month, down from more than 4,000 per month prior to fees being introduced.
